Nail studs

I really wanted to try out some nail studs, they have Ben around for a while but went on eBay and found a little packet of 20 for 1.99. There are many more you can buy from overseas but I wanted mine to come quickly so opted for ones sold in UK.
These ones I found these a bit large for my nails so I will keep on the hunt for more !

MUA Nail Varnish : £1, Shade 22

Caviar nails!

Today I purchased three for two items from Superdrug and bought a Kate moss matte lipstick in deep red and a little pot of MUA caviar nail decorations.

The caviar itself was quite fiddly to handle and with help of a topcoat it stayed for a while, but it took so long to dry that the beads kept smudging! In the end I had to take it off as it was too annoying to have on!

The Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in shad 107 is a really nice deep vampish red. I wore it on a night out and the colour stayed really nicely! Its best to use a lip pencil with it though, unless you have a very steady hand!

Leopard nails

I found my nail varnish collection !!! So no need to panic !

Today I treated myself to a new Barry m nail varnish in prickly pear. It's from their new gelly shine range which promise a gorgeous shine with pastel and bold colours. I absolutely love this lavender type colour and decided to put on a leopard style print. I don't normally wear animal print but because the colours were different I decided to reverse the black and white, hope you like!

V for vamp varnish

Going along with the gothic trend that's so popular at the moment I have become obsessed with half moon nails designs again! The sad news is that since moving back from uni I have lost my entire nail varnish collection no nail art tools! So iv had to start building up my collection again and have been greatly surprised by Superdrugs's MUA collection. Everything they sell is priced at a pound and the colours are great ! Also the eyeshadows have a great range of colours that stand out and sty on!

Designs over xmas

Aztec
This was my attempt at an aztec accent finger and spotty
french tips.
I'm waiting for my nail pens to arrive so this was tried using a 3D nail pen. I don't really like these as you don't have much control over it, bring on the nail pens!

 Half Moon Triangles
I really love half moon designs, if like me you can grow your nails but they aren't that long or perfect, this design elongates your nails. Gold and black is always a winning combination especially at xmas! These half moons were painted freehand and take a few goes but are quite simple. I made the triangles by using masking tape to create a stencil. You have to peel off the stencil quickly otherwise it smudges!
 NYE Nails
This was my chosen design for NYE. I was wearing a black jumpsuit with emerald green strappy shoes and wanted to add a bit of sparkle to my outfit. This was my first freehand attempt at half moons and i was rather impressed with myself! I also used gold stick on foils with a chevron cut into it for my accent nail.

The Nailasaurus: Movember Nail Art

Blog Surfing and stumbled across this amazing set of nail designs!

Nail project

For my final major project I have decided to create a paper style guide zine with tutorials on nail art styling and make up.

So I have been practicing a few nail designs in preparation for it!

 Candy Clouds
This mani is taken from http://nailside.blogspot.com/ I love the cloud design and tried it on myself with candy colours
 Penguins
This was in prep for xmas and i had just watched Happy Feet!

Cats and Leopards
My friend asked me to do her nails and shes obsessed with giraffes and her cat Jessie. So this mani was dedicated to Jessie and Seymour ( the toy giraffe(see-more, get it??))

Aztec Inspired
I have just got a 3D nail art pen from ebay and wanted to test it out, it was quite hard to use and messy so i have decided to buy a set of nail pens once i get some more dolla.
For the thumb i cut out this aztec/navajo shape into a black nail sticker and it turned out amazingly! Unfortunately with all nail stickers they peel off rather quickly so i may have to find an alternate idea.

Old Nails

Ok i think you may now be seeing my obsession for nail varnish clearly now...
But anyway, whilst procrastinating from my dissertation i decided to go through the box i kept all my nail varnishes i collected from when i was about 10! Some of them surprisingly haven't dried!

Loving the Blue glittery V very festive!

One of my mum's nail varnishes from the 70's I'm guessing, still works!

More Nail Designs!

I have been busy with a few more nail designs! I really like the V design nails at the moment and also loving the half crescents Chanel designs!

For this other design i used nail stickers that i bought from ebay for 99p, bargain! I recommend everyone looks there before buying from Topshop as they are cheaper and have more designs.
This was a nautical like theme with a baby blue nail varnish i bought in Turkey for less than a pound, bargain!

Nail Crazy!

A good few months ago i found an article in Look magazine that showed how to do marble effect nails, and youtubing it today i found an amazing tutorial, its really easy and looks pretty funky!

This is my attempt which im pretty impressed with- my nails are ready for holiday!
