Final Project of Year Two!

Illamasqua Project

For this project we were given a brief to create an original make up look based on the Spring/Summer 2011   Toxic nature Collection.
The theme i decided to choose was Geisha, so i started by researching into traditional Japanese culture and the Kabuki masks and Geisha make up, also looking at contemporary Japanese street culture; the kids of Japan today are so creative, original and experimental with their make u which makes it so much more exciting!

Too Much Spending...

Sometimes you find yourself in what i like to call a spending-more-money-than-you-have phase. This generally occurs when you have had a dry spell on the shopping front and then all of a sudden you realise that you get a big buzz out of spending money you don't have and start buying everything!

Here are a few things i have picked up...!

 Primark £6 - Bargain!

Topshop Double Row Coin Necklace £7.50
i love any jewellery with roman/old style coins for some reason!

Topshop Moustache Necklace £6.50
I am in love with this necklace, slight obsession with moustaches too!

Topshop Silver Mint Green Stone Ring £3.75 (50% SALE !!!)

New Look Burgundy Slinky Shorts £19.99 (picture copyright of newlook.com)
I absolutely love burgundy at the moment and culottes!

Vintage Style Loafers- Ebay, £9.00
I've wanted a pair of these loafers for a while but probably didnt need them..

 Topshop Mexican Top - £22
I really like the aztec and tribal prints that are out at the moment, so i bought it just in time for Benicassim festival next month!

Nippon daiski! ( i love japan!)

To help out Japan my mother helped organise a fundraising charity event in aid of the Tsunami victims. This was held in Horsham town square and we had Kendo demonstrations, Tea making, Origami demonstrations, sold cakes and sushi and Japanese character writing! All in all we raised just under £3000!
Here are a few pics from the day :)

Kimono demostrations

Origami gifts for donations- handbags, cranes cats and rabbits !

Handmade Chopsticks!

Origami ring!

Me in my Kimono (Ukata)

Amazing Cookie Monster cakes!

Paris J'adore !

For my friend's 21st birthday her mother paid for us to go to Paris for 4 days ! It really is a beautiful city filled with Parisian style and loads of things to do. We went up the Eiffel Tower (by lift ofc !) went to see the amazing Moulin Rouge (and managed to see Miranda from Sex and the City outside!) and visited the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysses, Montmatre, Notre Dame and even went to the Salvador Dali museum! It was a lot to pack into four days but we had a blast and gorged on Baguettes and all french pastries!

Why can't i be rich??

Online shopping is always a bad idea when you have no money- i found these beautiful shoe boots that i have stumbled across before, in the sale but sadly i do not have £77 to spend on food let alone shoes!
Anyone willing to buy them for me, let me know :)

Nearly Finished Recycling Campaign Shoot!

For the past 3 months we had been given an assignment to create and invent a conceptual shoot based around global warming/ globalization/ green living.
So my shoot is based around the Make do and Mend concept from the 40's; reusing and remolding ready made garments and everyday objects in order to not only keep up with fashion, but to also ration the goods they had.
Therefore i wrapped my model in a load of bin bags and cardboard n had a bit of fun on the beach!
